An international history of growth

An international history of growth... continues. NGI A/S was founded in 1991 by the Danish engineer Knud Nygaard. The founding of the company was rooted in the discovery of a new method of vulcanizing rubber.

Today, NGI is a highly specialized niche-organization manufacturing levelling feet in stainless steel and vulcanized rubber for machine manufacturers and food industries all over the world.

In 2008 a generational handover was completed, so the North Jutland growth company today is being managed by Jan Nygaard, the son of the founder.

In February 2014 the investment fund Adelis Equity Partners became the controlling shareholder of NGI. Adelis is an experienced investor contributing financial resources as well as industrial and strategic competence to the companies they invest in.
"We have created a robust organization with major growth potential and we see the collaboration with Adelis as the natural next step when it comes to taking NGI to the next level. By partnering with Adelis we will gain access to managerial competences and capital, which allows us to pursue our expansion plans and fulfill our international ambitions," informs the managing director Jan Nygaard. Therefore, NGI will continue the positive development with Adelis as a co-owner and realize NGI's significant international growth potential.

Customers and suppliers will experience an unchanged, unprecedented level of service and quality in addition to a increased professionalization of the organization. According to Steffen Thomsen, partner at Adelis, NGI is "a well-managed and professional organization with a global leadership position and significant international growth potential."

"The company's uncompromising focus on quality and service is an attractive platform for future growth. It is a perfect match consistent with our investment focus and we are looking very much forward to contribute to the development of the company."
